Michael was raised on a mixed cropping and sheep farm in the Waimate district and completed his schooling in Waimate. After leaving school he obtained his first job working on a mixed cropping farm at Leeston. After 12 months he then made the move south to Heriot farming both sheep and beef, and also farming a Murray Grey stud. The lure of travel started to beckon and Michael trained as a shearer and for the next 6 years travelling throughout New Zealand and around the world shearing along with a wide variety of other jobs, finally coming home to settle in Waimate during 1992.
It was here where Michael met his wife Rebecca and they now have 3 children. They have purchased and sold several farms, starting with sheep and mixed cropping properties also leasing their farm out for 5 years. Michael then became a stock agent working for Pyne Gould Guinness Ltd. In 2006 Michael and his family went dairy farming and have recently sold this property in the Spring of 2013. They have now settled on a lifestyle block just north of Timaru.
Looking for a new challenge Michael settled on Real Estate where he can utilise his energy and “can do attitude”. He wants to be the one to answer those questions you may have, give honest feedback, and provide you with options you may not see. Being a solution based person Michael likes to think outside the square. He enjoys working with people and can see the potential in most situations. He prides himself on identifying goals and achieving them through hard work. It is his desire to give his clients the best service possible and his lateral thinking will be your biggest asset in marketing your property.
